Pay Range: $19.05 - $38.10 per hour

The above reflects the anticipated per hour wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Research Coordinator will coordinate all clinical activities of research for the MS Research and Morahan centers, including protocol review, organization and delegation of study responsibilities, patient screening, recruitment and case management following enrollment. Responsible for oversight of research protocol, informed consent, IRB process. Facilitates budget development and contract negotiations, together with the Principal Investigator and administrative team. Participates in neurology/concussion research development-planning. Assists with selection monitoring of performance improvement indicators. Provides nursing care to patients in research protocols. Time Study not required .

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • CITI Training
  • Clinical Research Experience
  • Successful Completion of Orientation Programs

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare related field

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association Only)

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Working Shift: Monday-Friday
  • Day Shift
  • Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates all clinical activities related to MS/Morahan research from protocol review through organization and delegation of study responsibilities
  • IRB communication in reference to annual reports, and serious adverse event notifications
  • Demonstrates accountability for study drugs in collaboration with the Pharmacy
  • Has oversight of informed consent and IRB process
  • Facilitates budget development and contract negotiations for protocols in collaboration with Principal Investigator and administration
  • Inservices appropriate hospital staff in reference to research projects
  • Assists administration in all matters related to research
  • Responsible for maintaining regulatory documents, data collection, case report forms queries, and meeting with monitors
  • Responsible for oversight of patient screening, recruitment, enrollment and patient management post enrollment for all research studies
