This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a passion for technology and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding technical support. You will begin with a 4–6 week training program (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm), after which you must be flexible to work any shift within our core support hours. The role supports both remote and hybrid models based on your shift start time, but all candidates must be local due to onsite training and support requirements. This role is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in IT support, particularly for individuals with hands-on technical experience and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support for a wide range of devices and systems including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and printers. Support and troubleshoot user access issues including Active Directory password resets, VPN, and multi-factor authentication. Offer technical assistance for retail technologies (registers, PIN pads, handheld devices). Utilize ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve support requests. Create and maintain detailed documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions. Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat by actively listening, empathizing, and resolving issues efficiently. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support as appropriate. Follow standard procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Participate in shift-based schedules, which may include weekends or evenings depending on business needs. Shift Details & Work Schedule Training Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM for 4–6 weeks. Post-Training Schedule: Flexible shifts based on business needs within core support hours: Monday–Saturday: 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM Sunday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Typical shifts include Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday. Work Model: Before 11 AM start: Hybrid (in-office Tue–Thu; remote on other days) 11 AM or later start: Fully remote Local candidates only due to onsite requirements. Qualifications Required: 1+ year of experience in a technical support or service desk environment. Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, MacOS, desktop/laptop hardware, and common applications. Preferred Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft are a plus. Previous experience in a hybrid or remote support environment Experience supporting VPN, password resets (Active Directory), and basic network troubleshooting. Familiarity with retail technology (POS systems, handheld devices, etc.). Proficient in using ticketing systems and documenting support resolutions clearly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate and remain professional under pressure.
