Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team onsite at our Neenah, WI facility. This role is critical in supporting our customers—ranging from OEM boat builders and dealers to individual retail buyers—by ensuring accurate order processing, technical support, and seamless communication between the sales, production, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming sales inquiries from OEMs, dealers, and retail customers.
  • Provide knowledgeable and friendly technical support for all CMI-manufactured products.
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and enter them into the company’s MRP system.
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to communicate customer requirements, timelines, and order details.
  • Assist with product selection, quoting, and order updates.
  • Represent CMI at trade shows and customer visits, as needed (light travel required).
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in marine sales, service, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity with Mercury Racing engines, high-performance marine propulsion, and tow sport boats is a strong plus.
  • Mechanical engineering background is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in marine or muscle car engine building is a strong asset.
  • Background as a marine or muscle car mechanic is valuable.
  • Boat rigging experience or familiarity with rigging components is a plus.
  • Experience working as a boat dealership service technician or service manager is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical products in a clear and helpful way.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to quickly learn CMI’s product line and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site at our Neenah facility; this is not a remote position.
