  You bring at least 4 years of consumer credit or lending experience , ideally in an underwriting or credit analyst role.
• Knowledge That Runs Deep
  You're well-versed in consumer loan products, lending procedures, and relevant regulations — and know how to apply that knowledge under pressure.
• A Mind for Math and a Head for Risk
  You can calculate ratios in your sleep, but also know when to ask the second or third question to assess a borrower's full credit picture.
• Clear, Professional Communication
  You’re skilled at explaining credit decisions clearly and diplomatically to internal teams — and thrive in a fast-moving, team-based environment.
• Education
  A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred; specialized training in banking or lending is also highly valued.

What You’ll Do and What Success Looks Like

In your first 6–12 months, here’s how you’ll make an impact:

• Deliver Confident Credit Decisions
  Review and underwrite a high volume of consumer loan applications submitted through branches and digital channels — determining feasibility, computing debt-to-income ratios, and analyzing credit profiles with speed and accuracy.
• Balance Risk and Opportunity
  Use your underwriting authority to recommend or approve loans that meet policy and product guidelines, or propose alternatives when a loan doesn’t quite fit. You'll be trusted to protect the Bank’s credit quality and support lending goals.
• Ensure Clean Files, Every Time
  Perform meticulous quality checks on data and documentation to prevent errors downstream — tracking missing information, confirming conditions are met, and pushing clean, ready-to-close loans forward.
• Be the Go-To Lending Resource
  Collaborate with sales and branch teams to resolve loan file questions, explain decisions, and guide them toward the right solutions — improving both turnaround time and service quality.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve
  Use automated underwriting tools confidently and stay current on consumer lending regulations, credit policy, and Bank procedures to ensure full compliance and sound decisions.
