About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) to serve as a senior executive leader, guiding the institution's strategic voice, enhancing public perception, and fostering engagement across various platforms. The CPRO will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive reputation and public relations strategies, with a focus on proactive cultivation of public trust and institutional visibility. This role requires a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in public relations, media affairs, or strategic communication, preferably in higher education, government, or mission-driven organizations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing public perception, leading media engagement, and will be adept at crisis communication. The CPRO will also be tasked with shaping the institution's core narrative, monitoring public perception, and identifying opportunities for leadership in education policy and student success. Essential duties include serving as a principal advisor to the President, overseeing strategic content development for senior leadership, and leading internal and external communication efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive results in a dynamic environment. The role demands a professional with a strong sense of ethics, integrity, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
