RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and deductions, through the ADP Payroll service.
  • Maintain employee records related to payroll, including onboarding new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
  • Process health insurance enrollments and terminations.
  • Handle general ledger interfacing for payroll transactions.
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly.
  • Collect, file, and pay monthly sales tax.
  • Provide support as requested for all insurance renewals.
  • Filing of Workers Comp as needed for reported job related injuries.
  • Posses general accounting knowledge in order to perform additional bookkeeping/accounting functions.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience working within an accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in data.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must posses excellent interpersonal / communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop / Online is highly desirable.
  • Experience dealing with insurance policies is a plus.
