JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Delta Utilities is seeking a results-driven and analytically minded Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is responsible for supporting company-wide planning, forecasting, and financial performance analysis, with a focus on consolidating business unit results and providing insights that drive strategic decisions.

As part of the corporate finance team, this position will play a key role in helping senior leadership understand financial performance and outlook across the enterprise.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with the preparation and consolidation of the monthly financial reporting package , including actuals, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Support the annual budget and long-range planning process , including timeline management, template development, and coordination with business units.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to evaluate trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of quarterly Board and investor materials by compiling key metrics, forecasts, and narrative insights.
  • Maintain and improve financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
  • Partner with accounting, operations, and business unit finance teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with corporate expectations.
  • Support ad hoc analysis for executive leadership, including cash flow, profitability, headcount, and corporate overhead trends.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and consistency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field such as Math, Data Analytics or Statistics.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 0–2 years of experience in corporate FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with planning/reporting tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and GAAP principles.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly to a non-financial audience.

  • Able to operate a motor vehicle, including the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
  • Able to perform on-site inspections.
  • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.

  • Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  • Able to exert up to 50 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
