CGI Federal is currently seeking an Accessibility Architect to meet needs of a Content Management System. This project is a multi-year initiative to modernize the technology, infrastructure, design, and software used by the federal government to author, create, review, manage, publish, and distribute content to both government clients and the public. This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities: The Accessibility Architect must demonstrate experience with Agile development methodology and DevOps with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Obtain a Public Trust clearance 5+yrs of experience and expertise evaluating designs, code, and products for accessibility throughout an Agile software development lifecycle. Effectively communicate findings and remediation recommendations. Proficient with automated accessibility testing tools such as axeDev, Wave, Lighthouse. Proficient with manual accessibility testing, including use of JAWS, NVDA, and other screen reader tools. Please note that due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
